Numbers 21:24-26

New International Version

²⁴ Israel, however, put him to the sword^(A) and took over his land^(B) from the Arnon to the Jabbok,^(C) but only as far as the Ammonites,^(D) because their border was fortified. ²⁵ Israel captured all the cities of the Amorites^(E) and occupied them,^(F) including Heshbon^(G) and all its surrounding settlements. ²⁶ Heshbon was the city of Sihon^(H) king of the Amorites,^(I) who had fought against the former king of Moab^(J) and had taken from him all his land as far as the Arnon.^(K)
